Yesterday Dylan turned two months old! He is getting so big, and I am not sure where the time is going.
We didn’t do much to celebrate Dylan’s birthday, but Jim and Laura did come over for a bit. They brought the last bottle of wine they purchased on our trip to Italy. I made some little pizzas and we just hung out. We haven’t seen them in awhile since we have all been so busy. Dylan swung in his swing and slept through the majority of their time with us but he did wake up in time for Laura to feed him and Jim to burp him.
Since his friend little Brynleigh has been raving about her Soothie, I bought Dylan a pack of two for his birthday so that he could try them out. He does seem to like them, but I am not sure he notices a difference from his other pacifiers. I am going to let him test them out for a week or so and then give him his other pacifier and see if there is a preference.
Before I start sharing the new talents that Dylan has aquired in his old age, I thought I would share a couple of cute pics of him first.
Here he is yawning big and looking cute in a little romper his dad picked out for him.
And here he is relaxing in a sporty little outfit from his Uncle Neil and Aunt Amy.
And finally, he is getting a little sleep in while sitting in his Papasan bouncer which is almost too small for him now… his feet are right at the edge of the bouncer!
Since my last posting about Dylan’s abilities, he hasn’t really learned a whole lot of new stuff, but he has been perfecting some of the things he already knows.
- He is holding his head up much higher and for longer periods of time when having his “tummy time.”
- He can still rollover from tummy to back but he hasn’t quite made it from back to tummy yet.
- His legs aren’t as wobbly when he stands up now and he sometimes steps his little feet up and down like he is walking.
- He smiles a little bit more often and when someone is talking to him.
- We are working on him holding and shaking a rattle but he doesn’t quite have it yet.
- He can move the toys that are hanging down on his Little Einstein gym. I am not sure if he is doing it on purpose, but when he hits them, he gets excited and flails around more and makes them move again.
- And he is “talking” more often and better than he was before. And, after watching his friend Maddox’s video, Dylan decided he wanted to try and say, “oh” too. So, here is Dylan’s video…
Pretty cute!

“OH” that is really cute!
