The Stevens Family

No, worries. Little Dylan is still safe and sound. It has just been a few days since his mother has been able to post any news.

We are working on getting Dylan into a routine of sorts since I will be going back to work in the not to distant future and Dylan will be going to work with Kyle (to the daycare at his school, of course). The routine doesn’t sound that complicated; it is basically –> sleep –> wake up –> play –> eat –> repeat. The problem arises when Dylan sleeps too long and wakes up “starving” (if you have seen him, you know he is far from starving) and does not want to play because he wants to eat. The schedule is taking a little getting used to for him but we are doing okay.

We are also trying to get him to sleep in his cradle from now on because he was sleeping basically wherever he falls asleep (in his swing, in my arms, on the couch in his Boppy pillow, etc.)  The sleeping in his cradle has been a little bit of an adjustment as well, but he is doing okay with it.

Some other routines we have started center around our night time. After Dylan’s night time feeding, I read him a bedtime story and then he has snuggle time with his mom and dad before we put him to bed for the night. It is a good time and I can’t wait until I can start reading some more interesting books to him… the ones we read now don’t have much of a storyline.

Dylan is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his little friend Brynleigh. You can follow her news here. He can hardly wait to meet her!

Dylan got to spend some time with his Mamma and Pappa today. We were feeling a little cooped up, so we put on our warm clothes and headed over to their house for a visit. He likes seeing his Mamma and Pappa because he gets LOTS of love and attention.

I am working on a future post wherein Dylan will be modeling some of the latest in baby fashion… I just need a few more pictures. So, check back again soon!
