I figured while I have a few free moments, I better take the opportunity to update Dylan’s page with some news about him.
- Dylan is a little past six weeks old and has his two month check-up and immunizations coming up quickly (Feb 10th). I am a little nervous about the shots.
- Dylan has been going through another “phase” which I hope is over soon… He has been fussier than normal and wants to be held all the time. It has been difficult to get him to sleep without being held. This behavior has been going on for the last two days but seems to be tapering off. On a side not, my friend Darren said that when his daughter Kate goes through a fussy phase she always acquires a new skill - the latest being the ability to read (BTW - Kate is a child not an infant). So, I am keeping my fingers crossed that Dylan will acquire some cool baby ninja skills or something… we will wait and see.
- Yesterday Dylan rolled over from his stomach to his back four times and he has done it once today, so I guess the skill is here to stay. I will try and get some video of him doing the “rollover” at some point and when I do, I will post it here.
- This week Dylan has begun standing (with assistance of course). When someone is holding him he wants to stand up which is kind of cute except when I try to burp him… I have always done the sitting up burping, but now when I try to sit Dylan up, he just stands so I am having to move to the shoulder burping instead.
- And now a little news about me - I had my six week check-up on Monday and the doctor released me to return to work on February 17th, so I still have some time to stay home and hang out with little Dylan.
That is all the news I can think of at the moment. I will try to take some cute pictures and photos to share in my next post.
