The Stevens Family

On Saturday Kyle’s school was hosting a wrestling tournament and Kyle asked me to bring Dylan up for a few minutes so he could get his first look at a wrestling tournament and Kyle’s wrestling buddies could get their first look at Dylan.

So, I got Dylan all dressed up in his KU gear and we made our appearance. My friend Jerram referred to this activity as the “baby show-off” (which is pretty much what it was).

So, here is a pic of Dylan in his little KU ensemble before we left for the school (the Kearney’s provided the outfit and Nana and Papa Smith provided the hat).

And just because I think he looks pretty cute in his little get-up, here is another pic.

As far as the tournament goes, when we got there, Kyle was hard at work entering stats (I think).

I don’t know much about wrestling, but everything seemed to be going well. Dylan saw a few things and met a few people before falling asleep (I said he fell asleep out of  boredom but Kyle insists Dylan was conserving his energy for the final matches).

Although Dylan wasn’t super excited to view his first wrestling tournament, I am sure he will enjoy them much more once he is a little older and his dad can explain to him what is going on (because his mother certainly does not know).  All in all, it was a nice and short little outing.
