On the Road to Recovery

First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your thoughtful comments on the updates Kyle posted; he read them to me as they came in (until the “action” started). We have been truly blessed with the sweetest little baby (the nurse at the hospital said he was the “best one,” and I agree).  I also appreciate you all respecting my wishes to not have visitors while we were in the hospital.  When I am not feeling well, I don’t like a lot of commotion or people around… and I was definitely not feeling well. I know many of you really wanted to come to the hospital to welcome Dylan, but I really appreciate you waiting to meet him a little later.

Although the delivery was pretty quick and “easy,” the recovery is going to be a tad more difficult for me due to a large baby and lots of blood loss on my part, but I am beginning to feel somewhat human again and Dylan has gotten to meet a few visitors who have come by the house. Again, thank you all for your consideration and thoughtfulness.

Now, on to what you really came here to read about… baby Dylan.

Dylan is doing quite well. He received thumbs up for all of his check-ups at the hospital, and he has been eating and sleeping pretty well. He does HATE to have his diaper changed but I am guessing the circumcision probably makes this a little uncomfortable for him. :( He is very alert and can even pick his little head up and look around; I think he is pretty advanced. :)

Here are a couple of new pictures for you all. We think he is pretty cute!
