After our three baby showers, all of our gifts, Kyle painting the nursery and putting together the crib, changing table, swing, etc… I think we are almost ready for baby Dylan to arrive.
Here is a look at the nursery. We still need to hang some curtains, get a rug and hang Dylan’s name above the crib (once I have painted the letters), but other than that, it is pretty much done.
Here is a pic of the changing table (where Kyle will be spending most of his time). ![]()
To the right of the changing table, on the other side of the closet, is a cute froggie clothes hamper that Damion got for the baby. I am hoping that using the frog hamper will make doing laundry more enjoyable… fingers crossed.
Continuing around the room to the right is the crib and rocking chair (from my Mamma Stephens). Kyle did a nice job of putting the crib together!
I put this mobile together all by myself.
One day we will actually get batteries for it so we can see how it works.
To the right of the rocking chair is a hope chest my dad made in high school which is currently housing my adolescent memories. On top of the chest is a bouncy seat my parents got us… we still need batteries for it too!
As we continue around the room we encounter all of Dylan’s toys. Yes, he already has a rocking horse and lots of toys!
On the wall across from the crib is a nifty little shelf we got at Ikea which is where we are housing all of the baby necessities - blankets, bottles, bibs, burp clothes, diapers, health items, etc. It is pretty well stocked at this point.
I am a little in love with the red piggy bank!
We have finally made it all the way around the room, and on the door is a cute little door hanger Kristen made us to display at the hospital.
Before we leave the tour of the nursery, I have to show you the clothes baby Dylan has acquired. This is ONE drawer full. He has more clothes in the closet and other two drawers. He is not even here yet and he has more clothes than I do.
And just so you know we are not freakishly organized and prepared, we have the swing put together but it is currently in the living room, the travel system (car seat and stroller) are in a box in the garage along with the pack-n-play and cradle.
Oh, and this is the closet at the moment… I am stressing out a bit about all of THIS disorganization (there is more on the closet floor), but oh well… I am feeling pretty prepared overall.
